Who we are

Rebecca has worked in the publishing industry for over two decades with clients such as Rachel McLean (multi-million copy selling crime author), Bloomsbury, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Summersdale Publishers and many more independent authors. She is a published non-fiction author and an occasional poet.

Rebecca also runs a charity short story competition: the Henshaw Press Short Story Competition, offers publishing workshops and is an editor on the Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook.

Adrian has been a broadcaster and journalist with the BBC for twenty-five years, and is an audiobook narrator, editor and writer. 

 

What we offer

​We offer between us, fifty years of expertise in the creative industries. The services include editing, typesetting, book production, cover design, audiobook, narration and marketing asset creation.

We also offer a consultation service to help authors who want to be independent authors, navigate the new world of publishing, whether it be as a hybrid author both published traditionally and independently published or writers who need assistance and guidance to bring their books into the world. We have expertise in both fiction and non-fiction as editors and publishers, and we know what steps to take to ensure your work cuts through in the ever-more complicated world of publishing.

• Manuscript assessment: £500 plus VAT.

• Structural / copyediting: £12 per 1,000 words plus VAT.

• Proofreading: £7.50 per 1,000 words plus VAT.

• Blurb writing: £75 plus VAT / blurb critique: £15 plus VAT.

• Publishing consultation (including buying ISBNs, using Nielsen Title Editor, working with Amazon / KDP, sourcing printers and storage and working with the retail trade: £25 per hour plus VAT.

• Audiobook narration: £185 plus VAT per finished hour.
